19 February 2013
- The 'Find' function in Skills selection now allows a partial skill name to be entered when looking up a skill.
- Contact details for bulk emailing can now be sent directly to E-Shot (a commercial emailing service).
- PNG image files can now be added to Attachments.
- Option to check the size of CV files when adding a CV to a candidate form. Photos within CVs can increase the time for downloading a CV from the database when opening a candidate.
- Consultants within teams can optionally be allowed to see only contacts and companies assigned to that team.
- Some layout changes to candidate details form.
- Various bug fixes.

- Client and Candidate screens now display a handy Google map using the contact's postcode as reference. Click the 'Map' button next to the contact's address and it will open the map on a new tab in the record. Users outside the UK can use a setting to set the Google of your choice e.g. google.de.

- A minor bug has been fixed within the LinkedIn add-in where sometimes contacts were available but not shown. Click here to update your LinkedIn add-in.
- The Main Menu has been given a new cleaner look and feel (for Windows Vista and 7 users only). To switch back to the old menu at any time you can toggle using the F9 key on your keyboard.
January To August 2012
- A number of event dates added to the Placements record.
- Email addresses can be automatically extracted from CVs in the CV Search results, Add CVs to Database and CVs panel.
- RS Emailer editor updated with new issue to fix a number of bugs.
- New facility to create an Offer record when a candidate is offered in a shortlist. There is an add-in program to report on Offers made.
- Change to the star rating for contacts. Any number of stars can now be assigned to a contact.
- Support for multiple sectors in contacts and companies. Concept of the 'prime' sector which is the sector held in the Contact or Company record and is visible in search listings. Needs the RS Data Service updating to fully function. A sector tree panel added to the Search and Mailings search results.
- Hit counts introduced into results of CV searches and key skills searches. Needs RS Data Service update to function.
- Facility to send tweets from the Vacancies form when using the SQL Server Express database. Needs an RS Data Service update.
March 2011 - January 2012
- The RS LinkedIn Add In module now supports proximity searching based on post code for those countries with an appropriate post code database.
- Log entries for a Contact can be shared with another contact. This can be useful if a contact has both a client and candidate entry.
- A text based document can be dragged from the Documents section into a Contact’s Notes. This is useful for setting pro-forma Notes entries. This can be automated with a database Setting.
- A database Setting is available to restrict the listing of the RS Add Ins to a specified list only, rather than showing the full list of Add Ins.
- Multiple RS databases can be supported on a single server.
- The Placements form supports Attachments for items such as invoices.
- Facility to send Contacts and Vacancies between Recruit Studio systems. This is intended for supporting implants of Recruit Studio in client offices.
- Protected Attachments are supported. Only a Manager can create a Protected Attachment which can only be deleted by a User with Admin access.
- SMS Texting extended to 459 characters using three texts.
- Sub Location fields added to Location.
- New RSReports2 Add In provides drill down features for reviewing new database items.
- Blacklist feature added for use with Temp Staff package.
- Temp Staff Add In package includes checks for new Agency Workers Regulations effective October 2011.
- Changes to reporting of CVs Sent. Concept of Managed and UnManaged CVs which are reported separately.
- The Placements table is extended with a series of dates specifying events in the placement process. Also addition of a ‘shares’ facility for consultant commission apportionment.
- Candidate Notes are optionally presented in a full view tab.
- The contacts tree in the Company form can be optionally shown with contacts grouped by Location.
- Possible duplicate contacts are automatically shown when contact name details are entered.
- The RS Add In to Outlook now supports recipient look up in the RS database when a new or reply email is created. This allows the email text to be sent to the recipients RS log.
- Spell checker for major European languages added to the RS E-Mailer.
- There is a new Add In utility for adding key skills to the database from Excel spreadsheet.
- New candidate search form in the Search and Mailings.
- A new user status of ‘DB Admin’ added for use by data entry staff.
- Facility to extract E-Mail addresses from CVs held in the CV Database or in local folders. The E-Mail addresses can be passed to the RS E-Mailer or output to file for passing to a mailing service.
- Add In to integrate with LinkedIn. This facility is available and undergoing further development.
